You could be celebrating a birthday, bachelorette, an anniversary or maybe you’re just hungry, either way— any reason is a good reason to go to Quality Meats. Forget the boring steak house that you’re used to. It’s time to step your steak house game up. If you have someone in town visiting and they request a steak house, this is where you take them. I’ll give you 3 reasons why. They should be called “Quality Everything” because everything tastes so good!

The service is on point

Knowledgable, friendly, charismatic staff who genuinely seem to enjoy their job. Going above and beyond your dining expectations. They care that you are genuinely enjoying your experience from the kitchen to the table.

The food is something to brag about

We’re here to eat and we want to be wow’d. Well, prepare to be wow’d. Is wow’d even a word? Well, if not, now it is. They take a simple, classic dish and put their love into it to make it better than you can imagine. The culinary experience has no limits from the appetizers, cocktails to the very end when you’re eating a delicious dessert, or maybe two.

The space is cozy yet spacious

I love how their bar area is separate. It’s like it’s own lounge atmosphere so people can wait for their table or to just enjoy some cocktails and conversation without being crammed together. The dining area is on the other side with plenty of room to enjoy a group dinner with friends or a romantic dinner for two. Soft lighting, comfortable booths with the sound of forks hitting the plates, glasses cheering and voices of happy eaters to set the mood. Don’t forget to check out the women’s bathroom, it’s covered in vintage flamingos, LOVE it.

I’ve pretty much tasted the entire menu and can guide you with confidence on what to order. There are 6 things that YOU must try. Then, try everything else and you’ll still be happy. These are in order from apps to entrees.

1.

House-cured slab bacon with peanut butter and Jalapeño jelly. What? Yeah, I’m serious. It’s delicious, it’s innovative and it’s something new to try. Don’t be scared and you won’t regret it.

2.

Seared Diver Scallops with black garlic and celery leaves. Cooked to perfection with enough flavor to have you going in for another one.

3.

Charcuterie board that is more like a triple stacked lazy susan. Turn it left, turn it right, there is something for everyone. Mozzarella foam, foie gras, pigs in a blanket, corn bread cream, Zack The Baker sour dough bread, apricot dijon mustard, sopresatta, duck bacon and more. Perfect for sharing! Try not to fill up on bread, even though it is so delicious.

4.

Gnochhi & Cheese on the side, as an app, order two and make it an entreé. It’s that damn good. Holy Moly. I have dreams about this side dish. You could lick the bowl if you weren’t in public. Promise.

5.

Roasted bone marrow has been known to cause a few food-gasms. Never had it before? This would be a good place to set the bar high.

6.

Filet Mignon is something I order on the menu every time I go here. It’s really a quality piece of meat that you can taste the quality in every bite. When you order a steak, they make their house made secret steak sauce recipe right in front of you. Muddling spices, zest and more so close to you that you can smell the aromas in the air.

7.

Honey glazed baby back ribs with honey-lime, fresh mint and thai basil. Finger lickin’ good.

Most of these choices are on the Miami Spice menu which is 3 courses for $39. The best deal to try everything to find out what your favorites are. Miami Spice ends on September 30th. If you’re not sure which wine to pair with your dinner, have no fear. Luis the wine director is there to guide you and help you make the perfect choice. If you’re lucky to have Gonzalo as your server Juan as your housemade steak sauce maker, you’re lucky. I’m sure all the waiters are awesome, but these two know how to make you feel special.
